It was a typical work day when a forwarded email from the boss pops up on the screen, subject being Invitation to Hakaya Misk in Riyadh. Later in the day our boss reveals to us that we have actually been invited by the prestigious Misk Foundation for their Hakaya Misk 2019 being held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, from 5th to 11th November 2019.
The aim for the event was to bring together the world's best Producers, Directors and Artists and allow local Saudi youth to refine their artistic talents, learn about the latest technology in the field of Art and Entertainment, in a creative environment.
We were invited to conduct workshops on Production Planning for Animation and 3D Layout. It was an opportunity that could not be missed and we responded a "Yes" for the invite. The team was extremely excited for travelling to Riyadh as during the Riyadh Season the city is full of different activities, concerts and festivals!
The event included workshops, virtual shooting sites and speaker platforms which allowed the public to experience first-hand what it is like to be and work in the media world. The crowd was well-informed, eager to learn and consisted both youth and adults. Not only all the workshops were filled to the brim but the audience was super attentive and responsive and kept on returning everyday to learn something new. Apart from the workshops, the venture included a Hakaya market where artist and creators were able to sell beautiful artwork, handcrafts and merchandise, discussion panels, movie shows and food carts carrying delicious snacks.

Hakaya Misk targets different cities throughout Saudi Arabia so everyone is able to benefit from their creative trainings and programs and we have been really lucky to be a part of their journey.
